Bible Story Craft for Twelve Spies in Canaan

Bible Story Craft for Twelve Spies Sent to Canaan

For this craft you will need:

1. For the staff, piece of cardboard, brown paint, felt pen or crayon.

2. For the cluster of grapes, white construction paper, green and purple felt pen, crayon or paint.

1. Cut out the staff, trace it onto cardboard, color it brown.

2. Cut out the cluster of grapes, paste it onto cardboard, color the grapes purple, and the stem green. Hang the stem over the staff and paste it into place.

Explain to the children how Moses sent twelve men, one from each tribe of Israel, into the land of Canaan to spy it out. Tell them how they found grapes so large they had to be carried by two men on a staff.

Explain to them how they found it a good land, but that they also saw strong people, walled cities and giants. Tell the children that Joshua and Caleb were the only two that wanted to go into the land because they believed that the Lord was in control (Numbers 13-14)
